Richard Comfort
My journey so far....
I have had a passion for singing for as long as I can remember, and I eventually plucked up the courage to do something about it at the age of 21. I started my journey by finding a vocal coach for singing lessons, which not only increased my vocal ability but also gave me the confidence to pursue my dreams.
Shortly after, I spent time as a 'Pontins Bluecoat' where I learned a great deal about the entertainment industry, including; stage performance, comparing, dance, acting and of course singing - all of which gave me the foundations which stand me in good stead today.
Upon leaving Pontins, I became a professional singer and worked mainly in the Midlands area for the first few years until I steadily gained more experience and confidence.
After several years of drama training, alongside my singing work, I began to work in the TV industry with numerous small roles in programmes and films including; Casualty, The Bill, Life on Mars, Doctors, Doctor Foster. I have also featured in various TV commercials, both as an actor and voice-over artist.
Alongside all of my personal goals and achievements, I have been lucky enough to have helped and hopefully inspired others in their own journeys as a vocal coach in various capacities. This has included both young offender’s and adult prisons, schools, youth groups, and private one to one sessions in my home studio.
